What a Great movie! - Finding Forrester

I was really taken by the depth of story with this one. I found my entire family in awe with the level of performance the actors (main characters) gave. My 13 yr old didn't want to leave for the standard beverage fill-up!

I was pleasently surprised that it did not follow all the usual trails that a movie of this nature would. It is a definate add to my collection!

This is one of those kinds of movies that I really have to be in the mood for.To date I have not seen it, but I eventually will.

I saw it at the theater and enjoyed it quite a bit, but I'm not sure it has "ownership" replay value, but certainly a good rental.

      Regards,

      Jon

agreed we saw it in the theater and really liked it...the sound track is very good as well though its mostly Miles Davis songs...the Isreal Kawatiko (sp?) version of What a wonderful life is worth the disc price alone though

Don't make the mistake that I did and write this movie off before seeing it!

If you passed on this film because of it's "chick flick" status (I did), then you will miss out on a more than enjoyable film. And what is probably Depp's best performance to date (though he was quite good in Sleepy Hollow). Brando & Dunaway delivery the...

          Finding Forrester
          by Andrew Pratt
Guys a few weeks ago my wife and I had the great pleasure of watching the movie Finding Forrester. anyway there's a song that plays during the credits that captured our ears so we actually ended up sitting in the theater listening to the song well after everyone had left. That song was Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's...

Movie versions of books (or vice versa)
          by Chris D
This may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...

          America's Sweethearts- whose movie?
          by JonMarsh
I saw this movie this weekend. I've seen a few different reviews by people, some not all that hot (B-, C+) discussing this as "the new Julia Roberts Movie". And then they complain about how small a role Julia Roberts had in this movie.

Reality reset time, folks. Julia Roberts...

          finding an old movie
          by goe2112
          Hello all,
Just wanted to know if there is a good website that helps people find out the title of an old movie without knowing the title.

Just in case your curious, I'm searching for an older B sci-fi movie. All I remember about this movie is the ending, it takes place on a space...
