    Finding Forrester

Guys a few weeks ago my wife and I had the great pleasure of watching the movie Finding Forrester. anyway there's a song that plays during the credits that captured our ears so we actually ended up sitting in the theater listening to the song well after everyone had left. That song was Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of 'Over the rainbow / What a wonderful life. As a result I ordered the sound track from amazon (they have a $5 off coupon) and have been listening to it since it arrived yesterday. I will say that its very well recorded and is mostly Miles Davis tunes with the above mentioned song as well. All in all I love it. The first track is a miles davis tune called 'recollections' and is very nicely done. The rest of the disc is very decent to but those two tracks really stand out and made this a great purchase.

    Miles Davis at Newport 1958
    by Lex
This is a 24 bit re-mastered recording, never before released in this country. 6 trackes on this CD, akin to something called "White Heat", rather than the sound of Kind of Blue. It's a nice CD with these songs and includes an introduction by Willis Connover

    Miles Davis STACK
    by Lex
For doubters about the size of my Miles Davis CD collection, lol. I tended to focus on the Niles collection that fetured John Coltrane on Sax, that's just ultimate jazz right there. Those two cats could make it happen!

This does include my Round About You CD that just crapped out, so...
