The Happening

Don't normally write reviews, but last night I realized that I accidentally had purchased a movie thinking it was another one - The Happening.
Will skip everything and just say that I have not seen such bad acting in years. To put it into perspective I would state that Police Academy is Oscar material compared to this piece of &;$@.
If someone ever was mistaken and believed that Mark Wahlberg could act, then this should set the record straight!
Now if only the movie was so bad that you could just laugh, but that is not the case. Nothing is plausible, nothing is even barely believable..
Simply gave up after an hour and wanted more than anything else to burn the blu-ray and flog myself for not paying more attention when buying movies.
Hope I can prevent some of you doing the same mistake as I did.

Oh, yes, the movie by that M. Night fella. Yep, it was a real stinker. Although I don't share the same opinion as you regarding Wahlberg's acting in general, The Happening was a poorly written script. A real turd, period.

This was sitting around our office, so I watched it yesterday. EASILY the worst movie I've seen in the last 5 years, including Michael Moore's crap.

Then I go to rate it on Netflix (gave it 1 star) and the average ranking there is 3 stars. :wtf:

I'm a pretty big fan of M. Night Shymalan (sp?)--even of films that others have not liked--but even I think this one is serious dud.

I actually thought it was an intruiging idea from him. But everything after the original idea--acting, writing, directing... absolute crap. I'll give 1 star for the idea.
