weird thing happening while watching a dvd

    hi-
have had my equipment for almost 2 weeks now and granted that i don't own a dvd player because im waiting for the new rotels to come out,im stuck with playing my dvds via my playstation 2 (sorry).what i found weird was that during the movie DTS flashed on the screen (i was not anywhere near the remote or the tv) then i noticed that lips were moving on the persons in the movie, but the actual sound was delayed a second or two.really annoying!.so i go to watch the same movie again hours later and same thing happens.this is the 2nd movie i have ever watched on my system.1st was fine.any thoughts?is it the playstation?
    thanks in advance.

Sounds almost like the PS2 is dropping the signal for the DTS track and it's getting out of synch.

Does this happen at one specific spot? If so, it could be the layer change (where the laser goes from reading the first layer and refocuses to the second layer)...and the PS2 isn't keeping the DTS stream alive.

I believe I had that issue when I first got my PS2 and watched movies through it....can't remember though as that's been AGES ago.

Being FD3 has the option of choosing different outcomes, I'm sure there are plenty of jump commands through out the movie. These will occur even if you watch the standard movie.

Most likely the PS2 doesn't like some of these jump commands and is
          messing up the sync.
