    Movie review: Tangled

    This is the finest piece of work I've seen for quite some time come out of Disney studios. The animation is absolutely GORGEOUS in the film. Characters are well developed and storyline is good.

    I watched this on DVD and it looked like I was watching a Blu ray!! (Oppo player!!). The video mastering of this film is awesome !!

    My Daughter (11yrs old) rated this film 9/10 and I've got to agree with her!. The DVD was formatted for widescreen so It filled my monitor without letterboxing adding to the visual glory of the movie. If the Blu ray does the same, you will be finding yourself picking up your jaw off the floor at the beauty of this film.

    Run,,,don't walk out to rent or buy this film !! :E

      I did see a trailer on Tangled and thought it look amusing, but to be honest, I am really not into animation. I do own the two Toy Story's, the first Shrek, Ice Age, and that's about it.

          Hey George,

          Yes, if you don't have kids this movie probably isn't for you because it does not have the kind of laughs that Toy Story offers. It's basically a 'rapunzel let your hair down' kinda' film. However, if you want to see what your display can produce color and detail wise, check this out because it's one of the best animated films I've seen in awhile pressed to dvd and Blu ray. Vibrant colors and crystal clear!!. :E

              It,s a typical Disney movie with the typical Disney "Princess" type characters....but, for me that's a good thing cause I like Disney! As do the wife and kids. We saw it in the theater.

              I enjoyed it and recommend it. Bought the Blu ray last week but haven't had a chance to play it yet.....maybe tonight. Saturday night movie----Yea!

              For the genre I grade it an A-.

                  Yeah, thought it was good. Not fantastic, but pretty good. It'll be a purchase for us on BD, someday.

                      "Country Strong" is not a bad film, it's merely an ok film to be honest. I kind of thought the music aspect of the film would be there but on the whole, it wasn't there in any major way. The music was simply average as was Paltrow's performances.

                      The Blu ray was needlessly letterboxed...
