If you like the electric guitar I highly recommend this one. Fun to watch, especially some of the scenes with Page playing records (and of course the guitar playing) :B :T

Just watched it from Netflix. Wonderful! Not perfect, but great. There were some AWESOME gems here and there in the movie--old footage that nobody had ever seen before, or key performances or information showing how the musicians and their work came to be, or impromptu jam sessions, where the guys either individually or collectively start playing a song together. Very enjoyable. For me, the jam sessions were the best.

I can't believe Jimmy Page--so unassuming, but plays like nobody's business. Even at his current age, he lays down blistering licks that any other guitarist would kill to do. And I've mentioned before that the Edge is my favorite guitarist. he's not the most technically accomplished, but I LOVE the sound he creates. I really liked getting to know each of the guys through the movie.

it's a little disjointed, but fun. And if you get the DVD/BD, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the deleted scenes. There's some extra gems in there!!!

I watched a fascinating documentary last night called "It might get loud" In it Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White all tell their stories of how they became involved in music and why they love the electric guitar. This is a must see for any guitar lover.

DEATH LETTER – Son House. Possibly the most chilling vocal performance ever. Between the raw slide, the vocal and the lyric, how could you not be moved? When I first heard Son House, as a teenager, I didn't connect immediately. When I finally got it, it changed my life.

I just watched and listened to this last night. It has a lot of good tracks and performances. Of particular note is "Boys of Summer" and "Sunset Grill", I found those songs to be done particularly well. I actually had to play those tracks a few times afterward...

Another post here in the Guide reminded me of a CD I have that I've enjoyed for years, but most people would never have heard of. I went to a big concert at the famous Red Rocks ampitheater in Denver, Colorado the summer of 1992 (right before my senior year of high school) that had about 6 excellent...
