Old Dogs stars John Travolta and Robin Williams as best friends in business together and their world is turned upside down when Williams discovers he fathered twins with the woman ( Kelly Preston ) he had a quickie with several years previous. When Preston has to go to jail ( she was arrested at a protest ) Williams agrees to take charge of his children, which is a stretch for an aging man who has been a bachelor all his life. There are a few funny sequences that will give you a chuckle or two, but there is one situation when Travolta's and Williams' pills get mixed up and the results had me in stitches. This alone was worth the cost of the rental. The rest of the movie is the usual Disney fare and an okay rental. Just don't expect too much from Travolta and Williams as the script is a bit weak and hackneyed.

I wanted to buy a copy of THE ROOKIE but every place I tried, BB, Walmart, etc., only had so called Full Screen presentations. I'll have to wait for a trip to the big city. I had the same problem trying to find a widescreen copy ( I didn't) of SNOW DOGS, another Disney title.

Rented this on Blu-Ray. Overall, a nice movie. Lots of little references and clues in there, such as scenery and objects shaped in the shapes of many classic airplanes, similar to little things done in "Cars". As a pilot, I appreciated this, and on that note appreciated the aeronautical... -
