I concur.. Wife saw it at the theater and had to rent it when it came out. Even she agreed it wasn't that good upon watching it again.

Like I told her, and what rarely happens in a movie for me, she could turn it off at any given time and I wouldn't have cared what happened to the characters.

That sums it up pretty good. You could care less what happens to these natterers. And there were far too many of them, making it pretty impossible to develop the characters properly. The dialogue just seemed to go on and on, failing to move the story forward the way good dialogue usually does.
