I can see the finish line for my Ph.D. exams. Friday morning is the last bit (oral exam for 2-3 hours with a panel of 4 professors). Needed a small break from prepping for it and, thankfully, had one last ticket from my concert subscription to the Montreal Symphony. A Beethoven double bill, Symphonies 7 and 8, made for a nice evening. Next week I plan to do NOTHING related to Ph.D. studies (I'm already on sabbatical from teaching), so perhaps I can catch up with some of my music again. It's been so long since I could just put on an album, with nothing else to do, and kick back and listen. I can't wait.
Brief respite before the last exam

by Kevin PLook out, it's another one of Kevin's infamous HT polls!

So, my question is, what was the last major upgrade to your system, and your last minor... -
by jjahshik32I'm just curious, how long does a good pair of speakers especially B&W speakers last?
I read around by googling and the most I can find about is that overtime the paper or foam deteriorate over time or hardens? Also crossovers are most likely to be replaced in the future and maybe...-
