Watched this the other night. Had no real expectations (beyond mild entertainment) but was pleasantly surprised. Not a masterpiece, but worth at least a rental. The BD looks great, the story's more unlikely elements are actually largely (though not entirely) based on real events. A solid bit of entertainment, though not one that will live through the ages as a classic.

I liked this movie. The story has been done before, but I was really entertained by this one. A nice mix of comedy and mild action. Nice unsung cast with great acting. I found myself drawn in by the characters even though the storyline has been done to death. Well worth the rental.

It features an unrecognizable David Suchet (if you're a fan of his Poirot--the definitive take, imo, you'll be rather shocked at who he plays in this film). Jason Statham's limited acting chops were very well utilized here and the actor playing "Tim" does a great slimy "Bond"-like character. The more I think about it, the more I think I'll snap this up when it becomes a "low-ball" bargain.- Bottom

Yeah I liked this enough to buy it when it came out. I am becoming a big fan of Jason Statham, even though his agent has cast him in some turds. He can act if he has the proper material to work with. As for the Blu-ray version . I really didn't find anything spectacular as far as PQ goes. In fact, this one would have looked just fine on an upconverted standard dvd player.- Bottom
