Has anyone had the chance to view the new release of Scarface?

I watched the original on AMC the other night ( a case of Sunday night insomnia), and that's where I saw a commercial that said the new DVD was being released.
I will be adding it to my library regardless, but would be interested in anyone's critic, also.

I didnt know the new one was out yet.
I knew it was coming out, supposed to be remastered and stuff.
Who knows, maybe i will pick it up.B&W

I already have two versions of this and the second one was pretty good, picture quality wise, so I will pass on this latest release.Comment

It amazes me how many people have not seen this movie. Scarface is film cornerstone of the times and troubles during 80's. Starring Al Pacino and Michel Phiffer, written by Oliver Stone and directed by Brian De Palma.

Hmmm.... seems like it was about 6-8 months ago I was asking about this flick. Yep, I purchased one of those gray market (imported) DVD's.
Now they are releasing Scarface (Full Aniversary) on DVD on 9/30/03.
I will do the right thing and purchase a copy.

Has anyone noticed that some big movies has an earlier release date on Region 3 than Region 1? E.g. T3 came out October 24th, X2 is already out in a Limited Tin Box edition (an X2 1-disc edition actually came out 17th Sept. in Sweden R2) and LOTR: Two Towers Extended is also already...14 November 2003, 10:01 Friday
