    Howl's Moving Castle

    Hi,

I finally got around to watching Howl's Moving Castle last night. I bought it a few months back and it was just sitting there - waiting for me. I'm a huge fan of the Japanese animator/director Hayao Miyazaki and his work. Spiritied Away is a masterpiece and Porco Rosso is a visual treat. If you're not aware of his stuff, it's really accessible and perfect for all ages.

I loved the story and the animation was sumptuous. Soundtrack was excellent also. If you like animation and classic yet quirky tales that you'll love this. Your kids - whateverage - will also be captivated by this movie.

    Gets top marks from me.

Yes Vincent I totally agree, great family movie. I viewed this with the family, and we enjoyed this one, even more than Spirited Away, which I enjoyed as well. Next to watch KiKi's Delivery Service.

      Peace and blessings,

      Azeke

I saw Kiki's Delivery Service a good number of years ago. It's the movie that brought Hayao Miyazaki to my attention. A wonderful movie..... You'll love it....

I liked this quite a bit (saw it in Tokyo with no subtitles and almost no compreshension the first time). We've watched the DVD a few times now. While I like the animation as much or more as from any of his films, I thought this one was middling amongst his efforts for story (which is still quite good). Definitely recommended, but Porco Rosso is still my favorite.

My wife got the original book from the library and is reading it now just to compare for curiosity's sake.
