    Your Favorite Comedy DVD's

I was going through my list of movies late last night and I came across some comedy titles that I have not seen in a long time, and it got me thinking, what would my all time favorite comdey movies be? What would yours be?

Short list ( not in any order)

    Blazing Saddles
    Spaceballs
    Trading Places
    Caddyshack
    Uncle Buck
Who's Harry Crumb? (pretty much anything with John Candy)
    Christmas Vacation
    Anchorman
    Ferris Buehlers Day Off
    Robert P. 8)

many of what you wrote, but I'd add two more that are really unknowns, both early Val Kilmer movies, believe it or not.

        Real Genius
Top Secret (this one's slapstick, so caution if you don't like this genre)

You guys have named some funny ones. Avoiding duplication, here's my list:

          Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The Producers (original with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder)
          As Good As It Gets
          The Birdcage
          High Anxiety
          Shrek/Shrek 2
          Smile!
          Tootsie
          Get Shorty
The Longest Yard (original with Burt Reynolds)

Honorable Mention (very funny scenes, but can't sit through the whole thing in one viewing any more):
          Stripes
          Office Space
          M*A*S*H
Dr. Strangelove or How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

What you DON'T say may be held against you...

My all time favorite, and one that makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch it, is Steve Martin as THE JERK. Martin hasn't done anything as good since.

                Others I like:

National Lampoon's Vacation ( the first one, though others were okay, too )
The Long Long Trailer ( Lucille Ball is hilarious )
                Hot Shots 1 and 2
                Airplane 1 and 2
Summer Rental ( the great John Candy )
Captain Ron ( Kurt Russel is really funny here )

Of course there are many, many more, but this will suffice for now.

                    Team America: World Police

Just as funny as the movie is that fact that the film had to be re-edited in order to avoid an X rating due to the sex scene.
Yes, a sex scene with 'marionettes'!

Pulled another classic off the shelf last night. Hitchcock's only "straight comedy" (no murder, no mayhem), this stars the woman who defined "screwball comedienne"--Carole Lombard. Also starring Robert Montgomery, the story, style and comical moments are straight from the late 30s/early...
