    The Notebook

Ok ok, I know this isn't a manly film, but it was very well made.

I rented it based on reviews I read, and must say it was very enjoyable. Editing and story were great. Acting was also well done.

my girlfriend rented it and she watched it. I walked by during couple of the scenes and noticed the top-notch PQ and SQ. I was upstairs throughout most of the movie and the LFE on this movie gave my PB12plus/2 a really good workout during some of the scenes...

I saw this awhile back when it came out but didn't review it because I didn't feel many members here would be interested. If you are an older person, like me, who has been married to the same woman for 50 years, this film will really get to you. I couldn't get it out of my mind for days. You wonder if you and your significant other could possibly end up the way the couple did in The Notebook. A sad, but also uplifting movie that shows the power of true love.

Note: for film buffs who liked John Cassavetes work, The Notebook was directed by Nick Cassavates and starred Nick's mother, and John's wife. She played the heroine in her later years.

          :roflmao: :laughat:

Yeah... I watched it. Excuse me, I'm late for my ninjitsu lesson, and then we're going out for steak and potatoes... (no veggies for me), I also have to pick up my testosterone on the way at CVS.

Argo – a good film that left a sour taste
              by bigburner
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was well scripted, well-acted, and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

My high opinion was reduced when I researched a spoken line in the film which states that the New Zealand embassy in Tehran turned the six Americans away and refused to give them...

Just rented this the other day. It was a good rental. It is a Indian film based on the early life of one of its big buddhist teachers. It was a little bit of a musical .I don't know if this is a normal component of Indian films because I just have not watched that many of them. My only real complaint...

              by AwArEnEsS
Our notebook has only analog output. The suitable cable for connecting our notebook to the receiver is "stereo Rca" I think. The problem is,I think this cable has two edges at both sides but the notebook has only 1 audio connector?
