Watched this DVD last night. Terrible sound (as is usually the case with Jefferson Airplane CD's as well). Pretty bad PQ as well. Still, if you were a fan of this group back in the days, a very enjoyable remembrance. It interviews ex-Airplane members between clips of them performing on rooftops, in concerts, on TV, etc. The rooftop scene was initiated in downtown Manhattan by Swiss-Frence director Jean-Luc Godard and was done without any clearances or notification. The evolution of Jefferson Airplane into more synchronized playing is also addressed.
Brings back memories to me and, boy, does Grace Slick look different today compared to yesteryear, but don't we all.
Really enjoyed the clip from the Smothers Brothers show and wish they'd release a CD set of their shows as well. Back then, I watched Smothers Brothers whenever I could.
