Pixar looks like it might have another winner

Man I love Pixar...they are one of the few companies putting out movies that both parents and kids can go see and wind up seeing 2 different movies. What I mean is that the kids tend to see it on one level and parents get enough in-jokes to see the movie at a different level.

Looks promising -- I'll be interested to hear how people like it once it hits the commercial theaters. (With Pixar's track record, I'm willing to give it a shot opening week.) :>)

This one does look good. I'm looking forward to it.
As much as I like Pixar I didn't like A Bug's Life at all. Still, the Toy Story films are among the best ever made.

Ditto. I have the DVD of "Bug's Life" on hand as a demo, but not to "enjoy" all the way through. OTOH, it is hard to play just one scene from Toy Story or Toy Story 2 -- either one will suck you in and keep you watching... ;>)

Oh man I respectfully disagree. I think A Bug's Life is hillarious ("burn him again"... yuk yuk classic) but then again I took a bunch of entomology courses in university so that may have something to do with it. The bug in-jokes are a riot. If it didn't tickle your fancy...that's okay. I watch A Bug's Life from time to time for the yokes but I can't keep my kids away from Monsters Inc. We have seen that movie WAY too many times. The first 100 or so times it was charming but I need a breather from that one. The kids however, watch it like they've never seen it before...go figure.

Toy Story...they're not interested in the least. Me, I like Toy Story. I think Toy Story 2 is okay but loses a little of the charm of the original...but still pretty good. Definately a much more complex story, which is probably why my 2 and 3 year old ain't interested...yet.

Hmmm will have to run another thread but I notice they're releasing an Iron Giant SE....interesting....don't have the orig so my laziness is paying off :T In the words of Qui-Gon "There's always a bigger fish"

            Ahh...Iron Giant. Great, great movie.
            What's on the SE?

              Pixar's Monsters University
              by Chris D
This is a prequel to Pixar's popular Monster's Inc, telling the story of how ALL of the main characters of the original movie (I can't think of any left out) met each other. Mainly about Mike Wiszowski and James P. Sullivan, as they meet in college, initially on very bad terms.

              Overall,...

Although my kids saw this latest Pixar offering in the theaters, I didn't see it until buying it on 3D Blu Ray this week.

My wife didn't want to watch in 3D in our private theater, so we did the standard Blu Ray in the bedroom. First up, fantastic picture quality,...

              Pixar's new "Up"
              by Chris D

Took the family to go see "Up" last night. (side note, but we only have a mediocre theater in this area, image was fuzzy, had several annoying teenagers on a Friday night, paid $22 for 2 adults/1kid and another $19 in concessions--this is why I don't see movies outside my...

              Pixar's "Brave"
              by Chris D
Just took the fam to see Pixar's latest. I get the feeling that Pixar is allowing more and more Disney input into their films. It was a good, solid, film, but not one I would put in Pixar's top tiers of films.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, that Pixar has always set the...

              New Pixar movie "Cars"
              by Chris D
We're about a month away from Pixar's new movie "Cars" being released. I know that there's a lot of people who are highly excited about this one, just like me.

Pixar has done so incredibly great with every movie they've done so far, making a great flick, that I'm always apprehensive...
