The Tuxedo - a short review

No matter how many critics say this movie sucks, it didn't stop the kids in the audience from laughing at Jackie Chan's antics, nor prevent them from clapping when it ended. Love the outtakes scenes, but they were more from bad dialog takes, and not as many painful stunts gone awry.

I thought it was an average Jackie Chan vehicle, but this time around, he gets to use from wire-fu due to the tuxedo he wears. The guy's getting older, so I don't blame him for needing some stunt viagra.

The chemistry between Jackie and Jennifer Love Hewitt was surprisingly good (though the screenplay was pretty vapid and predictable).

I give it a solid 2 stars, or a grade of C.

Gotta second Patrick's review here. There's not a lot to comment on, overly good or overly bad. This vehicle is good for some Jackie Chan laughs and Jennifer Love Hewitt is not only cute, but acceptably fun in her role. Jason Isaacs (Blackhawk Down, The Patriot, Windtalkers) has a presence about him that makes me want to see more from him. This movie will never be confused with great cinema, but it's good for some laughs. Patrick's correct about the outtakes too, these are okay, but they aren't "vintage" JC.

I give The Tuxedo :25: out of :5:.
