    30 something??

    Hey all,

I've been watching this series from the late 80's on Netflix. It's actually still very relevant in many ways and it's very well done, acted and written.

The only thing strangely missing are computers and cell phones !!

Sorry, never watched it when it was new, and I doubt I'll watch it now.

However, good story telling is good story telling.

I didn't have TV years ago when it was on, but I wouldn't mind checking it out.

It's 4:3 and pretty low def but the writing and performances are top notch. Not much on TV nowadays can match it in it's genre. Like I said, the only thing missing are the computers and annoying cell phone calls. Wired phones only here!!!

Stars Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer. It's set in 1943 and 1993 and the story goes back and forth, keeping you glued to you chair trying to figure out why MacLaine, who during the war years was madly in love with a young bomber pilot, yet is indifferent at the funeral of her husband in 1993....

So, with the advent of the technical age of phones, all sorts of phones, I phones, Android phones, how come we never discuss them?

A friend at work just got a Nexus 2 I think it is, I was intrigued by it's form factor, seemed very nice.

Obviously, many of us are anxiously this movie. It's been discussed on and off again for the last 10 years since Toy Story 2, but Pixar specifically killed the idea many times. It's finally coming! Release day June 18th, 2010.

                Now they have.
