I enjoyed it. Definitely could tell it's from Frank Miller...very tough, some hardcore mantastic scenes. Does it beat Gladiator? Not even close, IMO. Going with some other guys, it was worth the money to see, but I probably won't buy it when it's out.- Bottom

I think I'll just wait for the DVD. However, I know someone who went to see it he rated it an eight out of ten. Rottentomatoes, started out last week at 100% since then its rating has dropped to around 60%. Frank Smith definitely provides a different perspective in his movies, i.e. Sin City.
Peace and blessings,
Azeke- Bottom

This is a remake ( of sorts ) of 300 SPARTANS that starred Richard Egan and was released in 1962. I have that oldie in my dvd collection and while it is fine, I am looking forward to 300 when it comes to dvd.- Bottom

My wife and I saw this at our local IMAX. We really enjoyed it. I will pick it up when it comes to DVD."I have come here, to chew bubblegum and kickass. And I'm all out of bubblegum!!!"- Bottom

Movie was great. Definately better than most other movies that are based off of events in that time period....with the exception of gladiator.(was definately better than troy, alexander, etc) I liked the cinematography, had good action, there a bare man a$$ scene, but was balanced with a few scenes of boobage....and it was historically pretty accurate(as accurate as a hollywood movie can be in 2-3 hours) 4 out of 5 stars.- Bottom

I got it as a "release day only " special price and I'm glad I bought it.
Most probably know the story about how 300 Spartans faced unsurmountable odds against the Persians, whose army was so large the earth rumbled when they moved. I also own the earlier version released in...-

by BobI opened my email this afternoon to find a sad note from Jonathan Capra saying that his dad died yesterday. Frank Jr., and his father, contributed greatly to the art and business of film making.

by bigburnerI watched this movie last night and it was time well spent – interesting and informative. You don't need to be a fan of Frank Zappa's music to appreciate the man. I have never enjoyed his avant-garde work, and I don’t think that’s going to change. His 1970s rock music is what appeals to me,...-
