No, but every character, if not mentioned in the final cut, were given names during the filming of the movie by the film crew. After that the names were recorded as such by Lucas.

Oooh, okay, I'll have to renounce my geek status to acknowledge that I hadn't even noticed the change! But B, if you're going to correct Paul, you have to spell TATOOINE correctly. (I do believe it's Tatooine, and not Tattooine, but in any case, it's not Taooine for sure)

You know, I was rather confused at first in Episode IV, with the use of "Tatooine" and "Dantooine". Very similar sounds.
