Ah, cool! I really like Bryan's work. Usual Suspects is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I heard that he is not doing X-Men 3, so I'm skeptical.

          Okay, here's another good one:

What is the proper response to this statement?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I know the movie, but I can't come up with the proper statement.

"We've got God on our side there's no way we can fail."

I hate to say it, but I also know and LOVE the movie. I also know what comes next. Me and my buddy Dave used to say this line, like two proper little spanners when we first got cars and went out 'cruisin'.......

I'm just a tad embarrased that I know so much dorky movie trivia and don't want to jump in spoil the fun....

One of my roommates got married last summer. His reception started off with the wedding party rushing in dressed with black hats and sunglasses dancing to the music played in the last show at the end of the movie - "Everybody..."

Yes, that's the one! I really like this thread. Vincent, feel free to jump in! I think the best movie trivia isn't stuff where you STUMP everybody, it's stuff that isn't obvious, but people can know, and it's fun to think about these various movies.

Man, there's so many great movie quotes from "Blues Brothers".

Okay, this one actually does NOT meet my criteria that I just stated, that anybody could figure it out, but it's an interesting trivia bit.

What was the original name for Return of the Jedi before it was so named? And why was the name changed?

I know that one. It was Revenge Of The Jedi. Wasn't it changed because revenge wasn't supposed to be a part of the Jedi code?

                          Here's one for you:

Why did the writers of Empire Strikes Back have to have Luke attacked by the snow creature?

Have to have?! Not sure I follow, but I'll give it a go...... Basically, so he could have his Obi Wan vision where he has to go to find and learn from Yoda. In addition, one of the Imperial probes are missed, attracting Vader and his crew to the ice planet Hoth and so begins episode v? Is that it?!

I swear I remember reading somewhere that he had a massive flu or something and could move enough to fight in the scene.. Maybe I'm crazy. I know that's why Indy shot the two sword guys in Radiers though..

I think that's right, from what I remember.

(right on the REVENGE thing... I think that's what brings the 6 part series full circle, and why Revenge of the Sith is such a perfect title for part 3)

You are correct sir! :T He had to have fairly extensive facial reconstruction after the accident. If you look at him in the first film and then look at him in the second or third, the differences are pretty noticable.

                                            Hi everyone.

                                            I have another trivia question:

Name the films that have famous "Frog and scorpio story" told by anyone in the movie.
(You know: scorpio asks frog to take him over the river, frog rejects because he believes scorpio will sting him, scorpio claims that he wouldn't do it because it would be suicide for him... etc)

                                                I have another trivia question:

Name the films that have famous "Frog and scorpio story" told by anyone in the movie.
(You know: scorpio asks frog to take him over the river, frog rejects because he believes scorpio will sting him, scorpio claims that he wouldn't do it because it would be suicide for him... etc)
I remember that one.... Years ago, when the movie came out first, I can remember myself and my friends having a great big debate, obviously drink was involved, if it was actually in the scorpio's nature to sting the frog or not, even if it meant his death also..... go figure....

Anyhow, the movie I'm referencing is Neil Jordan's 'The Crying Game".

Don't know of others off hand.....

That's my point exactly. It is annoying how writers use that story over and over again...

To Alloroc: Yes, that's correct answer.

Right, here's a famous quote from an even more famous movie.

"run this idea up the flagpole and see if anybody salutes it"

                                                                                  Name the movie. (easy)

Name the actor who said it. (not so easy)

Name the role the actor played. (hard, unless you know of course!)
                                                                                  Vincent.

I don't want the world. I just want your half.

Good guy is caught by 2 bad guys that guard him and make fun of him. One of them pretends to light him a cigarette then punches him in the face. Good guy says: Do it again and you're dead. Then the bad guy acts like he's about to light him again, then punches him in the face again. Good guy stands up and kills bad guy with just one punch. Then the other bad guy approaches, punches the good guy. Good guy says the same thing: Do it again and you're dead. Bad guy punches him again, but the good guy doesn't do anything as we expected, he just smokes the cigarette...

I heard it during the week and it reminded me of the movie. I knew exactly where it came(love the movie) from and reckoned it would make a great question here. The movie in question is an absolute classic, American classic even and universally considered to be one of the greatest movies ever made. Now, go figure!
