Payed my $6.75 and caught it on the way to work last night.

A very moving drama capturing emotion, action, humor, and a fantastic story. All of the actors were perfectly casted, the script/storyline was great, music was excellent for the material, and I was completely sucked in from beginning to end. This is going to be up there for best film at the Academy Awards. Every aspect was spot on, and I'd say this has made my top 10 favorite films. I can't recommend it enough.

Yep, and there's already Oscar buzz on this flick. Another interesting thing for we Nova Scotians, Wayne Gordon, a former amateur/pro boxer from Halifax turned trainer-coach, was hired by Angelo Dundee, who was hired by Grazer and Howard to train Russel Crowe how to box. Gordon spent a lot of time with Crowe and they became friends. In fact, Crowe ( so as not to interrupt the training in December) flew Gordon's family down to his ( Crowe's) ranch in Australia for the Holidays. Gordon appeared on a local TV show in Atlantic Canada praising Crowe for his ability to box, and his dedication to acting. Gordon feels it will be the best boxing film made.
