Just watched Collateral not even 20 minutes agao and I have to say this movie dissapointed me for all the hype it got. Not sayin it was a bad movie because it did have us interested, but I think this is the type of movie wher the bad guy should win..and by all means! I don't think it was justified by Cruise's character "Vincent" to be shot to death by someone who's never fired a gun...and especially in the fashion he was shot in. It was like the writer got tired of putting a story together and said, F*** it, lets shoot him and get it into theatres!! ARRRgh..I hate movies like this. I think he should have at least nailed Pinkett's character when you least thought he would, then shoot his ass...let him finish the list. Got to admit, for a sociopath, Vincent had some valid points on his view of life and society!? Thats why I found myself routing for the bad guy...maybe its just me...

yeah, the ended really didnt help it out. would have been good if the bad guy won.
oh well, it wasnt as bad as the bourne surpemecy. not only did i almost throw up after watching it (due to poor camera work and poor plot), but i was just generally pissed off for the next week).- Bottom

Thats good to know because my friend told me he had it and I could borrow it from him...But I can trust that it would be sh** due to the fact I can't stand Mat Damon.
Can Hollywood just do us one favor and just make a movie where we're left either surprised in the end or totally outraged due to the nature of the movie. Need something to shock the senses ya know.- Bottom

Collateral is one of those films that some loved and others hated. There is a bit of discussion on this flick over in DVD Director. If you are a Michael Mann fan, as many of us here are, you will definitely love this film.- Bottom

Even if you do not like a film, when you reveal major plot points in your discussion of movies, whether it is in the theater or on DVD, you should warn people in advance that there will be spoliers, or use "spoiler tags" to hide the "surprise" especially when you give away events that may catch the audience off guard. It is a courtesy to those who have not already seen the film.

You should also courteous of others, please refrain from foul language, it just a matter of being respectful. Just like the film not everyone will like it.
Meanwhile, to remain on topic, I also found the ending shall we say anti-climatic.

Saw this yesterday as well. Saw what the ending would be right at the moment Cruise' character passed Pinkett-Smith's.
But I liked it OK. Was a different role for Tom, which is good, 'cause I can't stand him, especially in his regular one. Having him be sort of calm/monotone through the movie kept him from irritating me.
Now also tried to watch Catwoman on the plane yesterday too (12 hour flight). Have to say, that was so bad I killed it after 15 minutes.

by P-DubBeing an Arnie fan, I finally got a chance to catch this flick on the weekend.
A bit of back story, this film deals with a terrorist act, and was originally scheduled to be relased in early October. Well we all know what happened in September and so WB chose to push this back a few months....-

I have yet to be disappointed by anything Michael Mann has attempted, but what I really like about Mann is his choice of musical soundtracks. Like Heat and Last Of The Mohicans, COLLATERAL has a killer track.
As everyone probably knows by now, the movie stars Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx and...-

by AzekeAnyone else seen this movie?
I have and I thought it was very suspenseful and engrossing, it even had my wife not looking a few times
. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx seem to have a nice synergy. Very nicely done. 4.5 stars :T

by Chris DThis may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...-
