    Collateral

    Anyone else seen this movie?

I have and I thought it was very suspenseful and engrossing, it even had my wife not looking a few times . Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx seem to have a nice synergy. Very nicely done. 4.5 stars :T

Hey Arman, we caught it, too. Very good flick. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to do a review on it. (Sorry George ) My wife and her sister both agree with me on this one - it's a keeper. :35: to :4: out of :5:. We already knew that Tom Cruise can do action movies, but now we know he can do a badman very well. Michael Mann has some stunningly beautiful shots of Los Angeles surrounding the actors and action. Add in a decent-or-better script and a 5-star soundtrack, and it's a tough act to follow.

Must have been shot with infrared to get through the smog. :>)

I guess if Jack Nicholson can successfully play against type (gangster hit man in "Prizzi's Honor") and Tom Hanks can do it (gangster hit man in "Road To Perdition") then why not Tom Cruise (gangster hit man in "Collateral"). When they get Elijah Wood to do it, I'll know the pattern is locked in. :>)

Actually, they were almost exclusively nighttime shots that were shot on amazingly clear nights.

Or more likely during the Santa Ana season, when the wind comes through town sucking every little bit of life giving moisture out of the air and your lips crack when you smile and fall shattered to the ground at your feet. And every piece of trash on the street ends up in my front yard. Sky is pure blue that time of year.

                Have I mentioned I hate L.A. lately?

COLLATERAL ... Michael Mann does it again.
                      by George Bellefontaine
I have yet to be disappointed by anything Michael Mann has attempted, but what I really like about Mann is his choice of musical soundtracks. Like Heat and Last Of The Mohicans, COLLATERAL has a killer track.

As everyone probably knows by now, the movie stars Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx and...

Just watched Collateral not even 20 minutes agao and I have to say this movie dissapointed me for all the hype it got. Not sayin it was a bad movie because it did have us interested, but I think this is the type of movie wher the bad guy should win..and by all means! I don't think it was justified...

                      Yet another Cruise cut short
                      by Lex
This time by fire. A cruise from Baltimore, to the Bahamas, was cut short, when a fire broke out at near 3:00 AM. Passengers were routed to the top deck with life jackets, life boats were lowered, but nobody was ever offloaded off the ship. The ship was redirected to Freemont, I think it said, from...

Being an Arnie fan, I finally got a chance to catch this flick on the weekend.

A bit of back story, this film deals with a terrorist act, and was originally scheduled to be relased in early October. Well we all know what happened in September and so WB chose to push this back a few months....
