I use Paradigm Mini-Monitor v3's for HT mains/secondary 2-channel and CC-170 for HT center channel. The Mini-Monitors are driven by a 200-watt SAE amp.

I've got the paradigm studio ref CC570 as a centre in rosenut.
Certainyl found it a very clean neutral soudnign centre. Very good detail and clarity. And wow what build, finish and looks, really like it for a centre and works well with my mains for HT and multichannel.

You should upgrade to the cleaner sounding Signature series Kal. The S2 is especially impressive to see and hear! :P
Nah. This is my 'modest' system and I run B&W 800series in the other system. I think the Ref/Studios are at a very sweet spot on the price/performance curve despite the performance superiority of the Sigs.
I haven't used Paradigm's yet, except for my twin Servo 15's.
I am in the process of building a new cinema, and want to move my 802's in to my two channel room. This has necessitated the search for a new set of front three speakers. Under consideration are the S8 and the larger matching centre.
Any comments or advise on them vs. say the 803d's? or what else can I look for in that range.
I am partial to the Paradigms, as I own the Servo 15's.
I really would appreciate your comments as I will soon have to construct the cabinetry around the front three.
I run 4 CDM Snt's(B&W) for the back. I don't really listen to SACD and DVD Audio, but do enjoy movies.
Am I advised to change them also to Paradigm's?
The Sigs are nice. I owned the S2 before, but I wanted more bass without getting a sub, WAF considerations. Once I get my own room (hopefully soon) I'm thinking about the S4 and a sub.

You will love S4's

Ref 40 v3's driven by a Halo A21 and a Rotel 1068. Got it built last year and decided to get married and finish the car in my garage. Hopefully after Jan 1st I'll see some smoking deals on Audiogon.
I am using a C3 SIG for center channel. I really enjoy it. It is powered by my Krell KAV 250A3. Definately no complaints. I really like the clarity it provides. And the grill is off, as it is a gorgeus center channel speaker. :T
I love my S4 speakers. An absolute bargain for the price. I need to redesign my living room and hopefully go bigger, so they are for sale on Audiogon in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
Just made the switch from Martin Logan mosaics to complete Paradigm HT system with Studio 100's, 690 CC, servo 15V2, and ADP590's. WOW!
The power these babies have!
studio ref 690 v4 center 100 v4's and the new ADP v4 rears. just upgraded all of my Energy stuff along with ditching some rotel gear in favor of some Anthem equipment.
the 690 pre anthem..
Anyone driving their Paradigms with Classe? Just want some feedback if so.
That is an excellent combination. I had an in home audition with a ca 201 and my S2, when I owned them. My dealer also has Classe for in store auditions.
I noticed you have a 1095 amp, so do I. It humms like a freakin dog. Sometimes I can hear it across the room. Did you have any problems like that? I just bought it brand new in December.
Also, I just sold my Rotel 1098 Pre/Pro and got a Krell HTS 7.1. Worth every penny.
I don't have any Paradigms in my HT (they would just get pi$$ed and leave) but I am using a pair of Studio 60 v.3 in my modest 2 channel and I love them. I have a space shortage and limited amplification watts , but they shine. I'm pretty impressed with the bass but the midrange and highs are golden-which is a good match for my amp's capabilities. Female vocals (and Ozzy) have a depth and purity I couldn't find in auditioning speakers well out of my price range. Overall , I'm very pleased with the costerformance ratio. As soon as that lottery ticket pays off I'm getting a Mac & S8 combo as a second system. The first "lottery" system will involve offering JonMarsh huge sums of money.....

no hum here. maybe a ground loop issue? picking up a new D2 today very excited.
I used to be a Paradigm owner....2 pairs of Studio 60 v.2, and Studio CC. I have since sold it all and am awaiting an upgrade. Who knows....maybe a pair of studio 20 v.4 in my future....for my PC system. The B&W M1 sound nice, but not a "large" enough sound.
When I buy a house, I will likely build a Paradigm Reference HT. I installed a system a few months back with Studio 40 v.4, CC590, PW2200, and some speakercraft AIM7 TWOs for surround and EX duty. Holy smokes! One of my test scenes is the shootout in Open Range....when Costner walks up to the bad guy and shoots him in the head? That gunshot was -UNREAL-......I mean...it sounded REAL, but the wife of the house came rushing in to see what was going on....
So someday soon, I will rejoin the club! Keep it on!
Hey guys, question for you paradigm owners. I currently have a patchwork mix of a couple b&w scm1 fronts, infinity center ch, and onyx rocket sub(all purchased used). The b&ws are out of my price rance and its difficult to find them used so I could match the rears to the fronts, and get a matching center, so I am planning on potentially selling the b&w and getting all parardigm studio 20 v4 for fronts and rears, and a studio 470? (or whatever it is) for a center channel. Can anyone give me some info on how the studio 20s would compare in sound to the scm1s.
Just heard the S6.. Very impressive. Very Smooth Vocals, great detail but not bright. They only had 10 hours on them, so I'll stop by next week and have another listen.
hey guys just got my paradigm studio 100v4 speakers and loving it. only problem is that they came shipped with a dent in each tweeter but my dealer said he would swap them out, anything like this happen to u guys?
New to Paradigm as of today, bought one of the last CC-370's in the store. I am also looking at a pair of supposedly brand new AMS 250's from a friend of a friend however I have questions on these speakers. When I look at the back of the speakers it appears that some stickers were taken off. Does anyone have AMS speakers? Do they have stickers that are on the back of the magnets and what do they say? Thanks for the help.
just go new diaphrams put in by the dealer he offered me to return them and wait for a new pair but i decided since they are so heavy (paradigm studio 100v4) i just took the tweeter out on both and gave it to him i will post a picture in a lil they seem very sensitive like 1 of them a small screw fell on it and put a small dent in it now he had to order another 1. dont know if you can see the small dent, doesnt effect the sound that i can hear.
I've had my studios less than a month, and I love the detail. I was using Athena MK5's. I ordered Paradigm Cinema 110's, and after a long wait( four months) I cancelled them..... I finally got up the courage to reorder, the difference is night and day.
Epson Home Cinema 1080p, Panasonic TH42PX600U, Onkyo PR-SC 886, Earthquake Cinenova 7, Sony 400 Disk dvd, Paradigm studio 20' v.4s, Outlaw LFM-1 & LFM-2,Tripp lite line cond, Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD, Playstation 3, Roku, & WD TV, APC AV H15

I owned a pair of S2 V1 about two years ago. they were my first hi end speaker.
Compare to the studio 20 the sound stage is wider deeper, more detailed.
They are just better than the 20's. The bass is also very surprising for monitors. You owe it to yourself to give them a listen.
You also want to fill your stand with sand if you have ones that can be filled
that also improves performance. The 20's are nice but the sigs ;x(
Don't you think that those are over my systems head? Would I get the full value from them? I'm not really planing on selling, but I would like to know if I'd have to update.

You will hear an improvement with your current gear, but no, you would not be hearing them at their best. I drove mine with all rotel gear, and it was very good.

I only have the Studio 60 v.3 , but a small dent in one of my tweeters made a very noticeable difference in SQ. Made that speaker sound "screechy" and very harsh and somewhat out of phase.
