friend bought rsx1056 now the spkrs

A friend of mine just got into HT and bought a rotel rsx1056.He now wants to get a pair of speakers .He prefers floorstanding and in "cherry".He wants to buy via audiogon and has seen some spkrs he likes but knows nothing about. He asked me to ask you what you guys think of his choices. He has a budget of 1,000.00.He wants the front pair first and he'll get the rest later. These are his choices seen on audiogon-Dynaudio 122,B&W 603 s2 and 604 s3,and the paradigm 60 v2.I really don't know what to tell him and he says he has no time during the day to go and listen so he's willing to chance it.Can you guys help.
P.S he got into HT because he came and heard my system.

rick, I'm seeing a lot of Magnepans and ML's in that price range over at Audiogon. They're great for music but for HT you'd want more output especially with the power available.

I've had some luck on eBay but it's always a gamble.

I've heard the 1056 with b&w 705's. Pretty good match if you can find some at your price.

I have an RSX-1056 running B&W CDM7-SE's and they're awesome. I paid $1000 for mine used, no complaints.

        Comparing Spkrs

        As an Analogy with Cars:
A BMW M3 can be compared to porsche Boster S or 911 in terms of performance but 911 being more expensive may have a slightly better build quality /materials/Prestige

Can the same be used when comparing Spkrs?
        1) Should...

Audiogon, not as safe as it could be
        by Bob
First, let me say that I have made 12 transactions using Audiogon and have excellent feedback. All went without a hitch but, most were with local pickups. One advantage to living in such a large urban area, no problem finding local buyers or sellers.

On Friday, Oct 7, I had the winning...
