I've completed the setup in which I ended up getting a B&W CM4 with the CM2 and CMC to match with the 1056 and 1060, the question now is with the digital coax, it was a freebie Audioquest that the dealer gave me. It has been almost 3 weeks and the speakers are sounding better, I am using audio for 2 channels only and I have not done the DVD-a yet since I've been looking around for the CAT cables, but for now the Panthers from my 2ch Ic's are running the 1056-1060 2ch stereo. The sound in audio is very different from digital, a little bland or uninteresting at some point with the Digital coax(Audioquest VDM3) enabled from the 1056 and if you disable the coax to analog, just running at normal from 1060 and 1056 the sound was just about as good as the Arcam cd player that we have, except for the vibration from the Rotel but the dealer said it was pretty normal and it does not affect the sound at all. On video with Coax enabled it was just marvelous with movies, I tried watching "Twister" on D/D and Dts and it was amazing cause it shook the whole house with the Velodyne SPL12 II subwoofer. But I am a little concern when it comes to the audio side with di/coax enabled since I always disable after movies to listen to 2 channel stereo, Is this healthy? or do I need a DACs or just replace the VDM 3? Maybe I should soon check on the Solid Silver Digital Coax fro Cat cables? Is it going to improve? Thanks for the input.

by VicenteHello everybody.
As I just bought a Mitsubishi HC3000 projector (resolution up to 1080i), I changed the components connections from directly from the RDV1060 to the projector, to pass through the RSX 1056 so I could connect some more devices to the pj with the same cable.

by VicenteI just completed my Cobalt S set of loudspeakers with a JM LAB Cobalt SW 27A subwoofer (secondhand) and had the help of an experienced friend to calibrate it.
I have an RSX 1056 and when he saw the OSD menu, he told me that I was using an old firmware and that updating it will help to...-

by kmckennHi Guys,
My first post here, but I am not new to audio, but am just now (re)emerging from life in a time capsule, and I need some input.
In the past few months I have been kicking some new life back into my late '80's early 90's stereo system which got rolled into an otherwise...-

by fvoellingHi,
I've been running a 1056 with a 7.1 speaker setup for a couple of years now, and started watching Blu-Ray movies from a PS3 80GB model last year. The PS3 is connected to the 1056 with digital coax and component.
Since my current setup is limited to 5.1 and 6.1, both...-

by RebelManThe LFE is illuminated on the display of my RSX-1056 when I am in 2CH mode. Does this mean the lows are sent to the sub by default? Do I need to disable the LFE (from the display) in order to get the low signal passed to the L/R channels? Can this be done using the remote (or on the box) without...-
