    Anthem A2 or Rotel RB1080

    Hello Everyone,

    Which one is a better sounding amp out of the 2
    It will be used for
    50%HT and 50% music

          It's too bad your setup is silver...I have a black RB-1080 for sale right here in Toronto. I'm sure that would narrow it down nicely for you.

                  I own the RB-1080 (silver), and I am very happy with its acoustics, however I have never tested the Anthem. I have tested the 1080 against other two channel amps (within the price range), and I was happy with the 1080's perfomance. Are there other 2 channel amps that are better? Of course, but for the money, I enjoy my Rotel. If I had big bucks. then perhaps my story would change.

                  I would test, if possible, both amps and listen to which provides the sound you enjoy.

                      now that I have my sub requirements fulfilled for the moment, I intend to buy either the 601 or 602 bookshelf speakers ...

                      the 602 is gigantic but only a few bucks more than the 601 ...
                      I plan on using this as PC speakers but do not wish to buy OTHER options because I want this...
