:?:I purchased a Rotel RQ970BX phono preamp to use with my Shure MM cartdrige. Unfortunally the output gain on this phono preamp is very low at ablut 35db. I need to increase it to 40 to 42db. I understand that two resistors need to changed. Does anybody know what resistor need the change and to what value?

Honestly, I'd get rid of the Rotel and got something else. I used the RQ970 for 11 months, and replaced it with a Musical Fidelity XLP-S with a high-current power supply. I couldn't believe the detail I was missing when using the Rotel.Comment

Recently acquired a near mint yamaha yp-d6 turntable. I'm new to vinyl and would like any recommendations on a good entry level phono preamp. Just released. Good news for all of us. I'm still waiting on some other things that should be out about now, like the ZCD. Keep it up, Parasound! It's too bad that I don't use vinyl myself.
