    Mismatched Impedance Ratings

I have a pair of Gallo Due rated at 4 Ohm each (left and right speakers) and a third one rated at 8 Ohm (Center channel) on my Rotel gear.
Other than the difference in volume levels which can be compensated for, does anyone know if this setup can affect my receiver adversely?

    Thanks

No you'll be just fine. My speakers range from 6 ohms on the sides to 4 ohms (and lower) for the rest...it just means that your receiver will provide a little more current to the ones with lower resistance and thus they'll be a little louder...or potentially louder depending on their efficiency's

      by corysmith01
      Hi all-

This may be a really dumb question, but I just can't seem to find the answer. I'm interested in adding an amp to my set up as I'm in the process of purchasing a pair of speakers rated at 4 ohms. My receiver, a Denon 3805, is pretty beefy, but I still feel as though the speakers'...

      Website link under specs.

More speaker help - Ohms and Watts whats?
      by macvidguy
Thanks for all the Bose bashing you provided. With regard to speakers and assuming I win the battle for Denon 2805 which is 7X100 and has ratings for 6 and 8 Ohms (100watts). If I understand right (my conservative thinking) I need to get speakers that support at least 100 watts right? If they are...
