    2 channel vs 5 channel amp

    Hey all I allready have a rmb 1080 for fronts and now can possibly get a good deal on a rmb 1075 now I was considering two 2 channel amps before this good deal came about { I was told 2 channel amps sounded better} How much better? I know damping is much higher on 2 channel and how much better for center and rear speakers { I do have floor standing surrounds} could someone explain the differences and if it is worth the extra $ for stereo amps or should I get the rmb 1075 Rich

    There's already a couple threads bouncing around with this subject matter:

    Other than that the 2-channels for surrounds etc is more than you necessarily need but if you've got the $$, it could only sound better...

    Now could that money be better spent elsewhere....?

      RMB-1075 Maintenance?
      by Redhawk
      What kind of maintenance, if any, is required on an amp like the RMB-1075? On amps like this do fuses or anything else have to be changed or do they pretty much run forever if not abused.

      Also, will it hurt it to only run two speakers through it in the beginning while the rest are being...

      According to Classe website, there are no two-channel preamps or integrated amps in the product line, only discontinued products! Has Classe abandoned 2-channel audio?

      A View into the Rotel 15 Series Class D Amps
      by =AirCeej=
      During the process of putting another HT together, I began auditioning amps to replace a Sunfire Series 1 Load Invariant and an Anthem MCA20 – noteworthy at the respective price points in their day and for the Sunfire: novel. Appreciating the ideas and most of the execution designed into the Sunfire,...

      RMB-1095 vs. three RMB-1080's
      by jlee
      Hello. I currently have an RMB-1095 5 channel amp. Couldn't be happier with it. Best amp for the money without a doubt. I've had this setup for 2 years now and was thinking of upgrading. I was going to slowly move towards the Classe SSP-30 MkII processor and CAV-180 5 channel amp, but they have been...

      Rotel RMB 1075, first impressions
      by mariachi
      The Rotel RMB 1075 is replacing my Parasound HCA 85A, which pumps 85 *5. I was happy with my setup but wanted an additional amp to drive my back surround. I originally wanted to get a two channel Parasound so everything would match. When I went to one of my local Parasound dealers, the sales guy stated...
