I picked up the RSP-1066 and RMB-1095 (both in silver) this weekend. Previously I had a Nakamichi AV-8 Dolby Digital receiver.
I found that Rotel provided the best price/performance of any HT electronics vendor, no surprise to Club Rotel inhabitants. I was especially interested in getting a good music system, since 50% of my time is spent listening to CDs, 30% HDTV, 20% DVD.
This site has been very useful while I was doing HT research to narrow down the field. Hopefully I can contribute some useful information in the future.
Current equipment:
Pre-Pro: Rotel RSP-1066
Power Amp: Rotel RMB-1095
Speakers: Paradigm Reference Model 60 (main), CC (center), Paradigm Performance ADP-170 (side surround)
DVD: Panasonic RP-82
CD: Arcam CD72T
HDTV: Toshiba 57HX81
HD Cable: Scientific Atlanta 3100HD
Power Conditioner: Monster Power HTS-3500
Remote: Home Theater Master MX-500
Cables: Monster for audio and video. DIY power cables (Venhaus).
Soon to be added, a dedicated 20A service for the HT system.
