    Rotel RCC-1055 vs. RCD-1070

Has anyone heard both of these CD players. I have a chance to swap my RCD-1070 (black) for the RCC-1055 (silver to match the RSP-1066 & RMB-1095 both silver, multi-cd player). I've read the specs on each, the 1070 has greater separation and a slightly better freq. response (2Hz lower). The swap would be an even trade. Should I keep the 1070 because of slightly better specs or swap for aesthetics? Any advice would be appreciated.

I do demos between those two players for clients all the time. I would say about 70-80% have no problem hearing the difference between them. So it is a pretty noticeable difference sonically. If it was me I'd keep the RCD-1070.

Thanks ZX. I've been contemplating what to do, and you have just verified my thoughts.

The RCD 02 would be very similar in terms of performance to the 1055. If you've heard the last generation RCD 961 that's what the RCD 02 sounds like(i believe they are essentially the same machine, different cosmetics, but don't quote me on that.) The RCD 1070 will have a noticeabely better sound than either the 1055 or the RCD 02.

            Hi all,

looking for feedback on CD player RCD 1070. I'm considering the 1066 or RSX1055, tossing that debate around in my head for weeks now, teamed up with the RMB 1075. I am pretty much 50% HT and 50% 2 channel music.
Basically, can I use a HT receiver for DD 5.1 and DTS as...

Set up is rc1070, RB 1070, Vandersteen 2CE's. Neeed to decide on which CD player to upgrade to (using mass market one now)
I listen to alot of opera, and I am trying to improve on the harsh top of many CD recordings- the soprano top drills into my ears and fatigue sets in
            I like the...

            RCD1070 or RCD1072 ?
            by Stev
            Hi
I have the option of buying a new RCD1070 for about 30% less than a RCD1072. Is there much of a difference between them ? Any problems with the earlier model i should be aware of ? The saleman says ther is little if any audible difference between the two models. Any thoughts would be appreciated....

            RB-1070 review

Hi everyone. Here’s the write up on my new RB-1070 amp.

I was and still am using a Rotel RMB-985mkII as my other amp. Both amps are matched with Rotel 1055 receiver. Speakers used are Klipsch KG series speakers, except the center backs, which are KSB series.

            Equipment...

            RC-1070 vs. RC-1090 vs. the Bryston BP-25

OK, so here is my attempt to break down the RC-1090, the RC-1070 and the Bryston BP-25; I am no expert, so take this for what it is worth, and as always, listen for yourself….

Two weeks ago I did a listen to three Pre-Amps, the RC-1070, the Bryston BP-25 and a VTL two-channel pre....
