    ? on 1068 Display

I am new owner of the 1068 and had a question on the display. Sometimes (I think when I am watching a digital source) there is a number on the right hand side of the display which usually reads 48K. Just wondering what that number is since I cant find anything in the manual.

    Thanks.

I would imagine it's denoting a 48Khz digital audio stream

Yes, it does indicate the amount of audio information per second your 1068 is receiving. You'll also notice 44.1 with CD playback if you are using the digital output on your CD player. If you are fortunate enough to have a DVD with DTS 96/24 (96Khz/24bit) encoding (a great sounding higher resolution format), you'll see 96 on the screen.

      Cheers,

        Strange problem with RSP-1068
        by metallo
I tought i would try to post here before i contact the Rotel support.
        My gerar is 1068/1075/1050

My problem is that 1068 looses the digital signal a sec, it happens randomized... sometimes it happens every second minute and sometimes i can watch a 2h movie with no problem.

life with rsp 1068 vs 1066 vs 1098
        by rosros
In feb I had a chance of comparing side by side the rsp 1098 with the rsp 1066. at the time, I was thinking about upgrading from the 1066 to the 1098. the rsp 1098 was a loaner from my rotel dealer. I had the 1098 for one week. Although the 1066 is a wonderful unit, for my usage, ultimately, it was...

        rsp-1068 CD play-back question
        by UFObuster
I may have missed somthing in set-up, hence the question.
When CDs are played back using analog input (to the CD jacks) all is well.
When I send the signal from a universal player (a Denon or Yamaha both) over an optical connection....I see the display showing 48k. It then resets to 44.1...

        RSP 1068 display drops
        by Boone38
We watched a few movies and at the start the 1068 will drop video and sound then change from a PCM to Dolby Digital. I had it set for DD prior. Then after a second the sound comes back and the video is on and we can watch the movie with no other problems. It only has done this a few times and it is...
