    RQ970BX

    Has anyone used the Rotel phono pre-amp with a low output (.2mV) moving coil cartridge?

    I have the 970 and I'm using it with a MM cartridge right now. I have a LOMC coming in the mail. One posting on Vinyl Asylum says it doesn't handle it well and another says it does. :roll: I'm kinda wondering what to expect......... maybe avoid a bit of disappointment on my first listen with the new cartridge.

      Well, I'm happy to report that the 970 it does handle a 0.3 mV LOMC very well indeed. The difference in detail between these cartridges is astounding. So, another Rotel product I am happy with.
