There should be no problems with a Rotel/Boston combination.

Sometime back, we were experiencing problems with Sony ES, Yamaha and Denon receivers driving a particular Klipsch speaker (the KLF-30). All three brands would trip their protection circuits when the volume level was pushed. It was found that in a narrow frequency range (in the midrange), the KLF-30s dropped to 3 Ohms and the receivers just could not handle that at loud volume. We then tried a Rotel RSX-1055 (which was RATED at 25/35 WPC less power) and it ran the speakers with no problem at all - AND sounded better.

I don't think the Bostons represent as severe a load to the amplifier at did the Klipsch. Should work fine.

            Ok.....

Here's the deal. I've pretty much settled on a 7.1, 50wpc receiver to start the whole HT thing. Fortunately my fiancee is going to continue building the HT scene, allowing me to invest significantly on my hi-fi.

            Hi guys,

I'm new to Rotel so bear with me

I have just been given a Rotel RSDX-02e and a set of Boston acoustics reference speakers which seems to be a fairly nice setup, to be honest i havent had a "hifi" for some years as my sound system has consisted of...

Hi all. I am new to the forum, but a very satisfied Rotel RB980BX owner with over Twelve years of hard use and sometimes abuse on incredible piece of engineering. I can’t find praise enough for it.

I am going to upgrade to a 5.1 pre/pro ( I assume pro stands for processor ) and want...
