A new big integrated?

Hi,

Last year it was hinted that perhaps a new big integrated was going to be released in 2016. Any more information that can be shared on this topic?

My dealer is trying to convince me that the Quad Artera pre/pow is the next step up from RA-1570

A big integrated is coming this month in North America. Better preamp, better DAC, better amplifier. I have a sample that I've been playing with, and it is a significant improvement on the RA-1570. More news to follow.

We will be launching the RA-1592 integrated in early May at $2500 US. This model features the analog circuit path and DAC from the RC-1590 preamp, and 200W x 2 amplification from the RB-1582mkII. I've spent quite a bit of time listening to it over the last three weeks, and it is a big step-up from the RA-1570.

I've just unboxed and hooked up the RA-1592. Compared to the RA-1570, the volume knob of RA-1592 is much more sensitive, takes bigger steps and does not have the same "resistance/micro steps" as RA-1570 when adjusting the volume. Anyone experienced this?
