Adding Rotel RB1070 power amp to RA04

Firstly, is this a good idea? Secondly, how would I connect them up as I don't have much expertise here.

Connect the "pre out" jacks on the RA-04 to the inputs on the RB-1070.

Disconnect your speakers from the RA-04 and connect them to the RB-1070.

Set the speaker switch to "off" on the RA-04.

The RB-1070 has more power and is (most likely) a higher quality amp than the one in the RA-04, so your system should sound better this way.
