    RD-855 need parts

Hello everyone - I recently bought an old RD-855 cassette deck. It had some congealed oil on the two spindles and the center gear. Playback and record worked great, but FF and rewind were VERY slow. I disassembled, cleaned, lubed with synthetic turntable oil and put it all back together.

During reassembly two of the small parts went flying. :-( I jury-rigged it using a strand of copper wire, but I don't trust this to work for long term. Where can I get these retainers? I also need the two belts for the tape counter.

The attached photo shows my copper wire fix on the supply spindle and over the white nylon gear in the center.

Is it possible to get just the retainers? Or should I look at buying another deck just for donor parts?

    Thanks - Bill Gee

    B&W Missing Parts?
    by biomed_eng_2000
I bought three 602.5's (individually boxed) and they were what appeared to be factory sealed, they had typical B&W reinforced tape and even the copper staples.

TWO of the THREE speakers were missing the manuals, port plugs, and speaker spike kits.

    I know my dealer will...

Looking for a good sounding waterproof Bluetooth speaker(s) for deck use/pool parties
    by Kevin P
With spring rapidly approaching I've been googling waterproof Bluetooth speakers that I can use poolside, but most of them are geared toward portability, being compact and easy to carry with you, thus they have teeny weeny drivers.

I'd like something a bit less "portable" but...

Well time has gone by and its been about a year and I've spent probably close to $100,000 buying top quality Hifi and HT material and its starting to become clear what things make a difference, what things appear to be snake oil.

    I thought I would share my view's

    Sony tape deck issue/problem...
    by kpodolski
I have a Sony TCK-850ES tape deck. Overall, the unit is in great shape except for the fact that it is eating tapes. Specifically, it is acutally turning/twisting the tape while it plays. I've tried, gently, cleaning the pinch rollers and playback/recording head with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and swabs...
