    multiroom & RSP-1066

    I am interested in buying the RSP-1066 together with 2 amplifiers.

    I want to operate the following.

    In the basement is the HT with 7.1 sound. 1 floor up I want to listen to music on stereo. The pre-amp will be placed in the basement. I would like to operate the system from every room with the remote.

    Is this possible & what amplifiers do I need.

    greetings,
    Stefan

    Very possible.. The 1066 has a second zone IR input that you can hook a IR receiver to. If you place this in the upstairs room, the same remote will automatically switch between zone 1 and zone 2. You could then also run the IR receiver out to the other equipment and have full control of everything upstairs.

    As far as amplifiers, there are a number of ways to do it.. I'm using a 1095 for my main 5 channels, and a 1066 for center rears and multiroom..

      Rotel Multiroom/source question
      by Shane Martin
      I'm going to be purchasing a new 7.1 system soon(Phase Tech speakers with an SVS sub) and thinking about the Rotel 1056 + amp(something cheap) or the Denon 3805. Given that I might not even be able to go the Rotel route(because of cost as I am unable to go that route unless I get a deal from a dealer),...

      Multiroom solution - options?
      by Ivan
      I’m thinking about setting up a multiroom system using Rotel gear.

      What I need is:
      1. Main zone (5.1 with video);
      2. Two more A/V zones (stereo sound with video);
      3. One more audio zone (stereo).

      What I have in mind is RSX-1058 + RMB-1066.

      Zone 2 install
      by Andrew Pratt
      I finally have my Zone 2 system installed and working great. If you remember back I was trying to get a Terk wireless IR repeater working with my Rotel 1098 pre pro but it wouldn't work so I sold that and purchased a hard wired system as detailed in this thread here. I also used to have a pair of Paradigm...

      Rotel RMB-1066 6 Channel Amp Questions
      by chanlon
      Anybody out there know if Rotel still has stock on this amp in North American? I know that they have 1069 and 1068's remaining apparently. My Rotel rep is out of town this week.

      I'm currently using a Rotel RSX-972 Receiver to power my 2nd zone.
      Basically the 2nd zone is my upstairs...
