RSP-1572 - NO OSD on TV

I have lost my OSD on my TV. When I select the "RCVR SETUP' button on the remote, the display on the prepro shows "MENU ON" , but, I don't get the OSD on the Panasonic TV. It's an HDMI connection. Spent 30 mins on phone with ROTEL and no fix. The OSD worked when I installed it 6 months ago. I tried another TV and same problem. Anyone had this problem?

I hate to have to go thru the hassel of sending it back to Rotel for repair...

That's an interesting one. From what you said, it appears everything is setup correctly and it should work. Have you tried switching between HDMI out 1 and 2?

The only other thing I could think to try is switching to an input that does not use HDMI and checking again. While it needs to get fixed, you can use the Rotel setup utility to change any settings:

      Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. I did try HDMI 2 out no difference. I have a problem accessing the other inputs into my Panasonic.
The TV is built into a large cabinet and the inputs are on the side (instead of the back). They plugged the HDMI cable in before they put the
TV in the cabinet. Didn't realize that I couldn't get at them. The installer is going come out and cut a hole in the wood support so I can access them. In the meantime I guess I'll have to pack it up and send it in to Rotel. Again thanks for your suggestions.

Also try using an S-Video patch cord from the Rotel to your TV to see the OSD. That may work. Not convenient but it may work. My Rotel (Older model) will not show the OSD via HDMI and it states that in the manual.

That's entirely possible given that S-Video technology is as old as the sandals of Jesus by modern standards honestly.......

              HDMI Upconversion? is it 1080P?
              by Rolyasm
A few thoughts and questions. I see many recievers that "upconvert to HDMI" but don't list any specs. Does that mean they send 1080P over the HDMI, or could it be something else? The next step is that I am looking at Onkyo's 805 and 875. Both upconvert, but the 875 says it uses HQV Reon for...

Analog VS HDMI on a 1570
              by chanlon
Recently, I've been comparing lossless audio played on an Apple TV vs a CD played through the analog input of a Rotel 1570 processor.

The Apple TV's audio output was connected via toslink while the Oppo BDP-83 via analog cables. Comparing 3 tracks, I could easily distinguish the CD from...

When will Rotel move to HDMI/DVI???
              by bambahtg9700
When will Rotel ever make DVD player and receivers with HMDI or DVI input/outputs? Nearly every other brand has come up with lines that have these inputs/outputs. NAD just came up with a upscaling DVD player (with HDMI output).

Don't get me wrong, I love my Rotel A/V receiver and DVD...

Any tricks to get C2 OSD for HDMI Sources???
              by jprafter
I'm very happy with my Parasound setup though it looks like my C2 will never support HDMI fully. I use a combination of my C2 and TV for video switching along with the MX-700 macros. So I really have no need for a Parasound HDMI switch only device, since it will do nothing to help with OSD.

A Q&A with Dave Nauber from Classe
              by sikoniko
UPDATE: Since we are doing a new Q&A, I thought I would bump this up in case anyone missed it the first time. A good way to see what has already been asked.

              Hello everyone,

As you know, Dave Nauber offered an intimate Q&A with the members of Club Classe....
