Wow... I just heard that someone with Klipsch speakers was getting a steady low volume hiss of them when driven by Halo amps and a C1/2 processor. Apparently Parasound said the gain on the balanced connections was higher than the non-balanced RCA, and suggested that for highly efficient speakers like... -
How many of you guys run balanced connections on your Classe gear? And if you did, what improvements were made by doing so? -
I have noticed a number of posts disqualifying the Rotel 1098 from consideration due to lack of balanced connections. I stumbled upon a few interesting articles that explain pros and cons about balanced connections.
In a nutshell, unless you have serious noise problems or a high-end system... -

What does the switch do ? why does the manual say that both balanced and unbalance connections should not be used at the same time ?

RB 1080 is an excellent amplifier and I am proud owner (plus RSP 1066 and
RMB 1075). It has balanced inputs and I wonder if somebody use them.
And of course the question is:
Does it sound much better with balanced connections?
