    RSX-1056 Standby

    Hello All,

Yesterday and for the first time my 1056 would not come out of standby. It is running latest firmware. Main switch to off and then to on solved the issue. Is this a precursor to issues.

    Thanks

    Luca

I would say yes, it is probably a precursor to issues!. Do you have the unit plugged into a decent surge protector?.

      Maybe not?

This happened once with my RSX-1056 several years ago and hasn't happened since. But a second or third occurence would likely seal your fate. Good Luck.

        Thanks for your answers.

Yes it is on a surge protector, APC H15 to be exact.

Oh boy, my RSX-1067 is doing that but it won't stay on at all.
          Is this expensive?

              Thanks,
Rotel NorthAmerica said a max of about $500.00, $250.00 if it was just the outputs.
I wouldn't even entertain the thought but they sound sooo good!

              Appreciate the reply,
              Bill

Oh gosh definitely have it fixed!!!. Jezzus it's worth it for sure. That's a $2K+ amp. Plus, once repaired, they offer a 90 day warranty on the repair. Once you get it back, make sure it's hooked up to a grounded, good spike regulator.

It's just a minor issue I experienced with the RSP-1068. ops:

When I first got the rsp 1068 a few weeks ago, when I put it in 'standby' mode, it still stayed warm, like I never turned it off. So I switched it off at the back switch. Also when I turned it on, I hear a sound similar...

                      1068 problem - power standby/on
                      by ariches
I've had my 1068 for about a month now. I leave the master power switch on the back on at all times. But several times when using the remote to switch from standby to ON the blue/violet light goes OFF and nothing else happens (the display stays blank) and repeatedly pressing the standby button on...

                      Hi,

I have a CAp2100 since November. Sound is great, but I have problem with the fuse of the standby-power supply and would like to ask whether anyone had similar problems:

                      rotel rsx1056 w/4 ohm speakers;misconception
                      by rick c
I always thought that the rsx1056 should not be used with 4ohm speakers.Atleast that's what rotel told me a while back when i was inquiring about dynaudio speakers,so i ended up with B&W 603s3's/lcr600(really liked them anyway).Well i have upgraded my speakers to a System Audio setup(sa1750/sa720av/sa505's)these...

                      Preamp choices: RSP1068 or RSX1056 or AVR3805?

Is the better choice the RSP1068 or RSX1056 for pre-amp duty?

I will add the RMB1066 (in bi-amp mode) or the RMB1075.
