I ran into a problem w/ my rotel 1057 receiver. I just bought a samsung blu ray player and wanted to connect the blu ra player to the receiver via HDMI. I have the blu ray player connected to the HDMI 1 input on the receiver and then it outputs to the TV. When I turn on the blu ray player, my tv displays the samsung blu ray logo like its suppose to but then after that, the tv doesn't display the contents of the blu ray. If I swap out the blu ray player w/ my cable box it works just fine. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I have the 1057 and this receiver is just a HDMI video switcher. It does not pass audio via HDMI...... so unless you have a serious reason to do so, just send the HDMI video signal straight to the monitor. It's probably not passing the video in this case because it's not the current version of HDMI or the receiver does not support that 'current' version.
