I need software eprom version 1.18 of Rotel Rsp 1098.

Fisrt of all sorry for my bad english.
I hope you can help me.
I have this problem.
I have decided to update my Rotel Rsp 1098.
I have downloaded version 2.26 from http://www.bwgroup-support.com/software.html.
I have version 1.x.x.x on my Rotel.
I read after made that i made update to version 2.26.
Now my Rotel start but tft sometimes is off and sometime is on when i turn on it.
Can anyone of you send me the bin file update version 1.18 or older?
I don't find any bin older that v. 2.26.
I tried to update eprom but everytime i have message error.
I use windows xp for update and an "usb to serial port" wire for connecting Rotel Rsp 1098 to my computer.
Can anyone help me.

Hi guys.
I have again successful to install new firmware 3.4 but i have a problem.
The tft don't function, but the exit monitor function.
I try to change function of tft display from menu of rotel using external monitor out for to see.
But if i change from "always off" to "always on" i hear<the click of tft but seem to be an error frequency and not start tft.
I try to change the ntsc system to pal but not change.
Some suggestion?
I have already flashed again to 2.26 version and no error.

A little confused. Did you successfully put eeprom update 3.4 on or not. There's two files. Firmware and eeprom.

Going from 1.xx firmware to 2.xx firmware requires the 3.4 eeprom update. Units with 1.xx or 2.xx CANNOT use firmware 3.xx or 4.xx.

So, your first post says you went to firmware 2.26, but couldn't get get the eeprom to load. Second post says you got 3.4 firmware to load, but reverted back to 2.xx after the TFT quit working. That sounds like you installed 3.xx firmware not 3.4 eeprom.

To run 2.xx firmware you HAVE to have the 3.4 EEPROM.

So if you did successfully put 3.4 EEPROM on, you have to stick with 2.xx firmware now. Maybe something went wrong with the EEPROM update and you need to try with a different PC or USB convertor.

If you put 3.xx FIRMWARE on and then reverted back to 2.xx FIRMWARE, you still need to update to 3.4 EEPROM. Or email Rotel for a 1.xx version.
