    RSP-1098 Firmware 2.20

    Hello!

    Firmware 2.20 if anyone interested to upgrade.

    2.18 -> 2.19
    only a small display issue (no PrLogic Icon when playing 2CH PCM source)

    2.19 -> 2.20
    1 PCM2CH, 176K/192K support. When it is 176.4/192K, Temporary G.Delay, Tone can't be controlled
    2. Debugging backup error
    3. Component error
    4. Dolby request, During the 6.1/7.1 settings, use Dolby Pro Logic indication


    Be really carefull with the upgrade.

    To upgrade the main flash firmware to the current V2.2.0 the DSP EEPROM should be upgraded to V3.4. If you already have upgraded the DSP EEPROM to V3.4 then it is only the main flash software that should be upgraded.

    Details how to upgrade EPROM ist available on the Rotel website. However, it's not as easy as main firmware update. A EPROM Flash tool has to be installed on the computer, to be configured and then the EPROM software to be uploaded via this tool. All necessary elements are availbale from the Rotel Webiste (flash tool, firmware and instruction manual in english). If you fail to do this upgrade, hardware has to be changed and cost may be involved.

              Hello!

              Not a beta, got it from Rotel directlly.

              Updated my device with it without any issue.

              Ask Rotel if you prefer, just provide them your 1098 serial number.

                  I was up to date with mine...

                  I have to go home an figure out how to do this...

                  Doesn't seem that hard however....

                          I am attempting to upgrade a 1098 from software version 1.1.1 to 2.x
                          I believe that I have to flash the firmware to do this.
                          There are 4 files on the Rotel web site to flash - Eprom data files 1 thru 4.
                          Can you please confirm the eprom addresses for the updates?

                          I often follow the rule "Don't fix what ain't broken" and i really didn't have any reason for upgrading the firmware for my RSP-1068, everything worked fine, I think it was version 1.1.9.

                          I never has been pleased with the stereo performance except in "analog bypass"....

                          I buyed Rotel RSP-1068 processor with 1.1.7 firmware. I find that 1068 has newer software.
                          But two kind of updates - firmware and eprom.
                          What update apply first?
