This is no April Fools Joke folks. During the next couple of days, we will be picking a day to migrate HTGuide to a new server. We will have the same reliable service we have always had, as we are not changing Hosting Services, only moving to a new updated state of the art server! Support is working to coordinate things right now.
We will announce the date of migration from old server to the new server in due time. We hope to minimize downtime while the DNS propagates to our new IP address, and service is restored. But some downtime is inevitable.
I'm looking for an HDMI 4x2 or 5x2 splitter to put on top of my RSP-1098. I need at least 4 HDMI inputs (v1.3) and for sure 2 HDMI outputs; 1 for the projector the other for the TV. Sound will be decoded thru the 1098.
I also got a logitech Harmony One remote, so would love to get access to the HDMI splitter through the remote.
My only suggestion is to buy 3-4 different brands and find out which one works. Even highly recommended ones may not work in your setup.
The biggest hurdle will be the dual outputs. That's where you get a lot of your incompatibility. Having all the devices work correctly while talking to two devices (even if one is off) can cause problems.
I ran into many of the hdmi issues most people face. My laptop has HDMI output, with no seperate SPDIF output port. Initially I thought I would just run the HDMI --> TV, then TOSlink to my amp. Little did I know most TV's downmixes digital signal to 2 channel.
I have been doing some research on purchasing a 4x4 HDMI matrix splitter and one common problem plagues them all. And when you think about it, the problem makes perfect sense and can NOT be fixed. (But you can get around it, see below)
Let’s say you have two TVs. One is 3D capable and...
I like to share some of recent experience with my new 3D TV setup with my current Rotel RSP1098/RMB1095 setup. I am hoping this information is useful for anyone with the same configuration out there that are interested to take the 3D plunge.
I am splitting a hdmi signal from my satellite receiver to my living room tv and my bedroom tv. The bedroom tv is about 50ft away so i have two 30' cables with a coupler. Is there a good powered splitter that will allow me to do this? Thanks
I currently own a RSP-1066 and RMB-1075 connected to a PlayStation 3 and I am planning to replace the RSP-1066 with a RSP-1069 in order to listen to lossless soundtracks.
In order to avoid the HDMI video problems I read bout in this forum, I was thinking about buying an Octava HDMI splitter and...
