    Dumb Question

I'm changing out my amp from a 1075 to a 1077 hooked up to a RSP-1069 and am calibrating with a SPL meter. My dumb question is do I go thru the test tones and calibrate once or do I calibrate the system with each different input? Would appreciate your help!!

You only have to do it once. It's not required for each input.

Too soon to tell if I hear any major differences between them. I made the change based on reviews so I hadn't heard it before. I needed the space in my credenza to be able to add more gear, power my 5.1 setup and zone 2 and it fits the bill. The little bit of listening I've done so far with a couple of cd's and the Gamer bluray went pretty good. The wife feels it plays louder than the 1075. Personally, I don't think I'm sacrificing any power, clarity, detail or fullness that I had with the 1075. Hope this helps!

                  Speak Level Calibration Question
                  by whmacs
                  Hi All,
This may be a dumb question, but the usual practice to calibrate speakers is to set your sound meter to the 70-75 db range, send a test tone through the left speaker and adjust the volume on your receiver until your sound meter reads 75db. You then balance the rest of the speakers using...

Proper way to calibrate a sub in a two channel setup?
                  by AaronD
I was wondering what methods, test CDs, etc, people are using to properly calibrate a sub woofer for two channel? I'm using the bass management in my receiver to set the low pass for my sub woofer at 80hz. The high pass for my mains is also at the same frequency.

Is it as simple as playing...

                  Question on Polyfill stuffing
                  by edwardj
                  Good evening,

I have probably a really dumb question on the best way to stuff polyfill in the sub I am building. I am building the Adire alignment sub from the plans from the Acoustic Visions site. In the instructions it states to stuff the cabinet with 64oz of polyfill stuffing....

                  Calibrating Speaker Settings with RSP-1098
                  by vsarathy
I thought that with the RSP-1098 one could calibrate the speaker settings using the test tones for each individual format like Dolby Digital, DTS, 2 Channel Stereo etc. But, this does not seem to be the case in so far as I have navigated the setup menus.

Is this correct or am I missing...

calibrating two subs with Denon 3801
                  by George Bellefontaine
The 3801 only has one line level sub output. I have one sub at the front of the room ( approx 14 feet from my sweetspot) and the rear sub near the back wall and approx 6 feet from my sweetspot. I am using a splitter to run the back sub. I calibrated the front sub with the distance set at 14 feet. To...
