Is Proac a good match to rotel gear?

    Hello,
    my current system is

    A/V Preamp: Rotel RSP-1069
    Power Amp : Rotel RMB-1075
    Speakers : B&W DM602,CC6,AS6 Sub,Monitor.A RXFX
    Cables : Nordost Cables.

I find my system very good when hearing in 5.1 mode when watching dvds, but very lean and bright when listening to a cd in 2 channel bypass mode.

    1) I`m thinking of upgrading my front and centre speakers to a proac response series. Will this improve the situation in 2 channel music?

    2) will adding a preamp with ht bypass like the rotel Rc-1580 and a seperate power amp like the rotel RB-1080 improve 2 channel listening?

    thanks.
    A/V Preamp: Rotel RSP-1069
    Power Amp : Rotel RMB-1075
    Speakers : ProAC response d two&centre,AS6Sub,Monitor.A RXFX
    Cables : Nordost Cables.

I'm running proac studio 140s with the 1570 pre/pro and Bryston power - I love them - but they are bright by nature.

I dont think proacs are bright by nature.... Proacs are known for their warm midrange.
From what I read Brystons seem to be on the bright side, while rotel are suppose to be neutral.
What CD player do you use?

Put some Aurum Cantus into consideration. Ribbon tweeters with good price/performance.

Will look into aurum, but the proacs have a silk dome tweeter which is suppose to be very sweet sounding. Most probably will be ordering a pair this week

Which Rotel amp to power the Proac Studio 110 loudspeakers?
              by lopezzz
              Hello!

After hearing to several loudspeakers I decided to go with new Proac's Studio 110.

I was recommended to use the Rotel amplifier to drive these speakers. Last Saturday I did listen the Proacs with Rotel RA-1062 and found this combination, for my amateur understanding,...

Shootout : Parasound C2 vs Rotel 1098 (long)
              by DrBoom
Well, it's been almost 2 months now that I've lived with both my Rotel RSP1098 and my Parasound C2 and the time for deciding which I'm going to keep is almost at hand.(not that I HAVE to decide now for some reason, but I'd hate to end up with 2 processors permanently)
I actually own both of them,...

              Are B&W speakers bright?
              by bigburner
A recurring theme in this forum is the bright nature of B&W speakers (some members use the word “harsh” but “bright” sounds better if you’ve spent a lot of money on B&W gear). I’ve assumed that people who like B&W like brightness. I do. I hear other people’s speakers and...

Review: A comparison of Rotel Integrateds - RA1570 vs RA1592
              by Joey_V
              Introduction:
This is a comparison between 2 pretty popular integrateds. The Rotel RC1570 has been Rotel's best new series 15 integrated amplifier since their introduction, however, most recently there has been this craze for better and more powerful integrated amplifiers. The days where an...

              My .02 Cents

I spent the morning in my local Definitive Audio. I hadn't been in and wanted to hear the newest gear they were carrying from Paradigm, B&W, NAD and Rotel. This is my first review so go easy fellas.
