Rb-1572+rmb-1077 ?

Happy new year to everyone, by the way

I just sold my RMB-1075 and got a 1077 (really impressive change !)

I wanted to know what you would think about adding a RB-1572 (for the front) to my current 1077 (center + rear).

Would you think my Monitor Audio GS20 would benefit from such an amp or is it overkill ?

I replaced my 1075 with a 1077 a few weeks ago. I was surprised at the upgrade in sound quality! Wow.

If you are using a subwoofer with a crossover engaged in the processor, I would think you wouldn't really hear the benefits. However, if you are driving your speakers full range, if would be something to consider for sure.

The RMB-1077 is IMO still one of Rotels best sounding amps. I would enjoy it for a few weeks... if you think then that the fronts are lacking a bit, then by all means consider a RB-1572, but the 1077 is very very capable - I used one to drive a pair of 802d's for almost a year.

To tell the truth, I am very surprised by this "little" amp (size). I do not feel the mains to be underpowered at all.

I have gained a lot in bass tightness and general definition. Moreover, the mid and highs are much more smoother.

I will wait a bit more and maybe consider getting a second sub.
